“1940's starlet style at its core”
Lingerie Buyer UK
THIS YEAR SEES THE LAUNCH OF NEW LABEL TALLULAH LOVE, A LINGERIE BRAND THAT WAS DESIGNED WITH WOMEN IN MIND AND - MORE SPECIFICALLY - WITH 1940S STARLET STYLE AT ITS CORE.
Launching at Salon International de La Lingerie this month, the British brand is targeting independent boutiques with its debut collection, which is based on a philosophy of colour, vibrancy and confidence.
Designed in the Uk and made in Portugal, Tallulah Love incorporates silk, exquisite trims and European laces for a look inspired by vintage postcards. Key styles include scooped balconette silhouettes complemented by lace back knickers, a ballet wrap loungewear cardigan and a matching silk stripe shortie. The brand will also unveil its show stopper for a/w 10 in Paris later this month with a vintage lace corset with rosebud trims that was created in celebration of the contemporary woman's curves.
Tallulah Love's indulgent use of textures is complemented by a diverse colour palette, which features shades of lavender, pewter and lilac. Meanwhile, sage green lace overlays acidic lime green silk, while the brand's signature cerise rosebuds provide a stark contrast to the mix of dramatic autumnal hues.
Long term, Tallulah Love has plans for a bridal range, which will be presented later on in 2010 as a complement to its initial selection of indulgentlingerie.
